The Science
The PDC Ghost Port eliminated turbulence so as to make the air and sound waves travel as smoothly as possible through the Port.
The PDC Ghost Port℗ tube extends the drum frequency by adding a lower end spectrum resonance the lower end of the sound. This alignment is known as ‘bass reflex’ similar to the sound effect found in premium stereo speakers.
The PDC Ghost Port ℗ allows the drum heads to breath and move with less restriction, but at the same time eliminated the vibration air pressure bounce-back from the resonant head transmitted back to the Batter head after the batter head is struck. The result is clean, crisp, smooth articulate drum sound where each note is fully expressed and appreciated for its acoustic value and quality.

The PDC Ghost Port ℗ virtually eliminates all unwanted ringing and overtones in the drums. There is no need for use the popular sound aids as mylar rings, gels, duct tape, muffling devices and such , when the ringing, clanking and the overtones are eliminated by the PDC Ghost Port ℗ during performance.
